After you start a Workflow study, you'll see a Research Timeline showing live progress. You can get back to this view any time by clicking into a Workflow study that's still in progress. It's safe to close the window — you'll be notified by email when your report is ready.
The timeline lists each stage your study will go through:
Research Setup — your parameters, scenario, and evaluation criteria are configured
Survey Distribution — surveys are sent to the target audience you selected (the synthetic audience that mimics your real audience)
Survey Analysis — begins once the survey reaches its completion threshold
Heatmap Analysis — attention heatmaps are generated from your uploaded visual assets, where applicable (for scenarios where a visual criterion like Scannability / Visual Hierarchy, Brand & Offer Clarity, Hook Strength / Attention Capture, or Scroll-Stopping Visual Hook is configured)
Surfacing Themes — qualitative patterns are pulled out of the responses
Report Generation — your final report compiles once all active stages are complete; an email notification is sent when it's ready
Each stage shows a status: Completed, In Progress, Pending, or Skipped.
Heatmap Analysis shows as Skipped when it doesn't apply to your study. A skipped stage is excluded from your overall stage count — for example, if Heatmap Analysis is skipped, your progress bar tracks "X of 5" stages rather than "X of 6."
Note: Attention Heatmap runs when the scenario has a visual criterion. For Strategic Concept Validation, it covers your single concept. For Pick a Winner, it defaults to covering the winning asset only — if the top two are tied, it expands to cover the runner-up as well.
A skipped stage isn't billed.
This progress view is specific to Workflows. Standalone Creative Ranking, Attention Heatmap, and Auto-FGD studies run a single research method at a time and don't have a multi-stage timeline.
