What is Strategic Concept Validation?
Strategic Concept Validation tests whether a single creative idea, concept, message, or asset connects with your audience — before you commit time and budget to it. Unlike Pick a Winner, there's nothing being ranked or compared here: you're validating one concept on its own merits.
Scenarios
Campaign Creative Direction — tests whether a campaign concept or creative direction connects with the audience before time or budget is committed to production
Product or Sub-brand Naming — tests whether a name for a product, collection, or feature resonates with the intended audience before it appears in market
Brand Messaging — tests whether a brand message resonates with your audience before any campaign is built around it
Program Messaging — tests whether the way a specific program, membership, or initiative is described connects with the intended audience before it's communicated at scale
Email Body Creative — tests whether an email creative connects with the audience before sending
Instagram Social Media — tests whether an Instagram post is likely to drive meaningful engagement before publishing
Facebook Social Media — tests whether a Facebook post is likely to drive meaningful engagement before publishing
TikTok Social Media — tests whether a TikTok post is likely to drive meaningful engagement before publishing
Assets
Strategic Concept Validation always evaluates exactly one concept. Type it in directly for text concepts, or upload a single image or text file. There's no multi-asset option — if you want to compare two or more options against each other, use Pick a Winner instead.
You'll also select a target audience community — only communities with at least 150 members can be selected, for statistical significance.
Asset type, file size, and resolution limits follow the same rules as Survey — see Asset Types & Formats Supported in Workflow.
How Your Concept Is Processed
Your concept goes directly to Survey, followed by Attention Heatmap if your study calls for it (see Tracking Your Study's Progress).
Your Report
Strategic Concept Validation reports follow the shared structure covered in Interpreting the Workflow Report — score summary, summary infographic, objective & target group, weighted scorecard, key findings, recommendation, methodology, and appendix — scoped to your single concept.
Note: Each Strategic Concept Validation study covers exactly one concept. To compare multiple options against each other, use Pick a Winner instead.
