Leveraging Default Use Cases for Research

When setting up a Creative Ranking study, you select a Use Case that defines the criteria your assets will be ranked against and the weightage applied to each criterion.

How it works: Click Select Use Case in the setup screen. A modal will open showing all available use cases. Each card shows the use case name and scenario description. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) on any card to view its criteria and weightage breakdown — all weightages sum to 100%.

The final ranking score for each asset is calculated based on how it performs against each criterion, weighted accordingly.

Important — Brand Fit: If Brand Fit is one of the criteria in your selected use case, a reminder appears on the card: "Brand Fit is criteria in this use case, please ensure the Brand is evident in the assets uploaded." Name your brand explicitly in the research objective and ensure it is clearly visible in your assets.

Need a custom use case? Click + Custom Use Case at the bottom of the modal. The Socialtrait support team will work with you to define and add the right use case to your account.

  • Message Clarity — How easy it is to understand the key message of the creative

  • Pace — How fast the creative moves or progresses (video content)

  • Attention Hook / Eye-Catching — How effectively the creative grabs attention at first glance

  • Interest — How much the creative sparks curiosity or motivates the audience to learn more

  • Flavour Clarity — How clearly the product's flavour, taste, or variant is communicated (packaging)
